The Disa Primary School is the first school of its kind in South Africa. Combining the resources of a private foundation and a well-established but poorly funded S. African school system, Disa provides economically disadvantaged children from one of the largest townships in Cape Town with the same educational opportunities as children from wealthy families. The hope that access to the latest technology and high quality teachers will give these children a chance to compete at the middle school, high school and college levels.
